Church services resume after shooting

MARYVILLE, IL - March 15, 2009 The Rev. Al Meredith of Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas, came to Maryville, Ill., to lead Sunday's services at First Baptist Church.

First Baptist is where the Rev. Fred Winters was killed a week ago by a gunman who walked up to him during the sermon.

Meredith's church in Texas was the scene of an attack a decade ago in which another gunman killed seven people, wounded seven others and then committed suicide.

Meredith says he hopes his experience can help the Maryville church members.

The man accused of killing Winters a week ago is being held without bail.
