Would you eat "Obama Fingers?"

It's a food sensation that a European company hopes will bring in the bread.

The Sprehe company launched a one-week trial for "Obama Fingers," a fried chicken ode to America's new Commander in Chief Barack Obama. The company is selling the presidential product through Plus and Netto, two discount supermarket chains in Germany.

A one-pound box of Obama Fingers - chicken strips with a packet of curry dip - features a picture of the pan-ready morsels against a backdrop of the American flag and what appears to be the Golden Gate Bridge.

In a report published online in Spiegel International, Judith Witting, sales manager for Sprehe, said, "We noticed that American products and the American way of eating are trendy at the moment... Americans are more relaxed. Not like us stiff Germans, like (Chancellor Angela) Merkel."
