Woman pinned under car after crash

Philadelphia police are investigating a nasty crash in South Philadelphia late Wednesday morning. Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Broad and Tasker Streets around 11:40 a.m.

A 57-year-old woman walking nearby was struck and then pinned under one of the vehicles.

She was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital with serious injuries.

Police say there was a second pedestrian involved in the accident. It is unclear if that person was injured at this time.

The investigtion is underway.
