Pizzeria fight leaves 1 dead in Chester

Gunfire erupted inside a Chester pizza shop early this morning, leaving one person dead. The shooting happened just after midnight inside Gino's Pizza Shop, located on the 2800 block of West 9th Street.

Witnesses tell police two men followed the victim into the pizzeria and opened fire. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Fard Simms of Chester, was shot multiple times in the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The gunmen then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

So far, police have not named a motive nor have they made any arrests.

Homicide detectives are investigating.
