Driver trapped after SUV overturns on I-295

The driver of a SUV is on the mend this morning after an early morning crash on Interstate 295 in Barrington, New Jersey. The 2 vehicle accident involving the SUV and another vehicle occurred around 3:00 a.m.

The impact caused the SUV to overturn, trapping the driver inside for almost 30 minutes while firefighters worked to free him. He was taken by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.

The crash closed down the highway for most of the overnight hours. It has since been reopened.

No word on any other injuries.
