High School students, hair salon team up for charity

RADNOR, Pa. - March 28, 2009

PROMise is an organization of Conestoga High School students that collects prom gowns and sells them at very low prices to girls in need. Then they donate money from the gown sale to Girls, Inc., a charity that helps needy girls achieve their potentials.

This year, PROMise has teamed up with the Jay Michael salon of Radnor for a fund-raising day of beauty. Jay Michael stylists will be giving haircuts, blowdrys, manicure and make-up applications for just $15.

The fundraiser takes place on Sunday, March 29, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salon at The Radnor Hotel, 595 East Lancaster Avenue in St. Davids, Pa. Walk-ins are welcome.

The salon's usual charges for these services are considerably higher than $15. So, this is great deal for a good cause.
