The shooting happened shortly before 11:30 Monday night inside a home on the 1800 block of North 77th Street in the Overbrook Park section of the city.
The gunman allegedly walked into the home and opened fire. Police say the 46-year-old victim somehow gave chase and he was shot again on the front patio.
The victim is in the hospital in critical condition.
So far, police have not indicated if they have any motives or suspects.
