Man charged in robbery of AC casino patron

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) - March 25, 2009 Police say 30-year-old Lawrence Bellamy Jr. followed the 70-year-old victim into a parking garage where he beat the man and robbed him of $10,000 on Jan. 4.

The assailant then fled in a taxi onto the Atlantic City Expressway.

Last week, Bellamy was arrested for a similar crime at the Trump Plaza Casino Hotel, and images from that crime closely matched the earlier robbery.

Bellamy's last known address was in Baltimore. He's being held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $250,000 bail on robbery and aggravated assault charges.
