Olympics for the unemployed

NEW YORK (AP) - March 30, 2009

You could compete in the "Unemployment Olympics."

It's happening tomorrow at Tompkins Square Park in New York City.

Events include the Fax Machine Toss, Pin the Blame on the Bosses and a pinata bashing.

Bars and restaurants have donated prizes.

To take part you have to prove you've lost your job.

The organizer is a 26-year-old computer programmer who feels your pain.

He's been laid off, too.
