The retired chief says as he came out of a stall in the men's room, a man was pointing a gun in his face, demanding money.
The chief did what he was told, handing over his money and cell phone.
But when the robber turned and ran, the former cop and some colleagues chased him.
They arrested the guy as he was trying to leave in a taxi.
