Police: Victim shot in Del. robbery attempt

NEW CASTLE, Del. (AP) - March 30, 2009

Police say the would-be robber approached the man in the 100 block of Parma Avenue in New Castle late Saturday and shot him when he did not comply with his demand for money.

Police say a nearby home and vehicle were also struck, but there were no other injuries.
