Eagles preseason schedule announced

PHILADELPHIA - March 30, 2009 - The birds will open at home versus New England on either August 13th or 14th, with a time to be announced. That game will be on the Eagles Television Network, and carried locally by 6abc.

That's followed up by a game at Indianapolis on Thursday, August 20th at 8:00 p.m. to be broadcast on Fox.

The next game is at home versus Jacksonville on Thursday, August 27th at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised by 6abc.

The preseason schedule for the Eagles wraps up Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00 p.m. on the road versus the New York Jets. This game will also air on 6abc.

Under head coach Andy Reid, the Eagles are 15-25 in the preseason. The team was 2-2 in the 2008 preseason.

The Eagles made it to the NFC Championship Game following the 2008 season, but lost to the Arizona Cardinals 32-25. The Cardinals lost the Super Bowl to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 2009 regular season schedule should be released next month.
