A Northern Liberties shop is here for the rest and they want to bring your vision to paper.
The hangings inside the shop look like high-end fabric, maybe in a cloth or furniture store. But this is Casa Papel - the house of paper - and paper's what they're all about.
Owner Cecilia Torres wishes she'd had a store like that three years ago when she was making her own wedding invitations.
The little shop has paper ideal for decorating, however you define that. There are craft supplies for anything paper. And there's a collection of exceptional note paper and envelopes for those messages you just have to write by hand.
Casa Papel has a design center for graphics and other artwork. Tasks like printing and bookbinding are handled mostly by outside professionals.
The shop can be challenging but it gives owner Torres opportunity to keep her newborn son by her side.
Casa Papel is at 2nd and Brown Streets in Northern Liberties. They welcome anyone who loves paper, and they're willing to do any part of a project you'd rather not do yourself.
