Investigators served a search warrant on January 19th at Concrete Technology, a business Pavulak once owned and where he was living.
There, authorities say they found a laptop where 29 images of child porn were saved on the hard drive, and evidence that hundreds of others images had been accessed and stored, then deleted.
As the investigation continued, agents say they learned that Pavulak traveled to the Philippines on December 8, 2008 and returned on January 14, 2009.
Also found were references to a website that, according to the criminal complaint, "contains profiles of women primarily from Southeast Asia" (in particular, the Philippines) and also "profiles of men who advertise to meet these women for sex."
Agents say they recovered emails between Pavulak and a Philippino woman planning a meeting in the Philippines with specific instructions on how she should prepare her 2-year-old daughter to engage in sex acts with him.
Investigators say they interviewed the Phillippino woman, who told agents that she had sex with Pavulak during his trip to the Philippines and that Pavulak gave her $200 and a laptop so they could communicate.
According to authorities, she went on to say that Pavulak offered her money to let him have sex with her daughter in the future.
Pavulak was arrested and charged with Possession of Child Pornography and Attempted Enticement of a Minor.
Pavulak had previously pleaded guilty to other sex crime charges in 1998.
He is considered a Tier 3 sex offender.
Pavulak is also charged with Failure to Re-register as a Sex Offender for not updating his sex offender registration to include the address of Concrete Technology as either a place of residence or work. The company he once owned is now owned by his adult children.
