The child was taken by ambulance to Paoli Hospital, and was pronounced dead.
Police executed a search warrant later that day, and say they found drugs and drug paraphernalia, including syringes and methadone pills in the bedroom that Kohn shared with the toddler.
On March 18th an autopsy was conducted, where it was found the toddler died from an overdose of methadone.
Investigators say Kohn mixed methadone and, sometimes, sleeping pills in the child's bottle with Gatorade and gave it to his son to drink.
Police say Kohn denied any wrongdoing at first, but later made incriminating statements about the baby's death.
Kohn was imprisoned for unrelated probation violations.
Charges were filed on March 31st against Kohn for Criminal Homicide, Endandering the Welfare of Children, and Drug Delivery Resulting in Death. Kohn remains in Chester County Prison.
No bail was granted on these charges.
Police say Kohn has a long rap sheet, including several drug and firearms convictions.
The mother was not home because, investigators say, she was already in the Chester County Prison on unrelated charges. Police say she will probably not face charges in the baby's death.
Kohn's first court date is scheduled for April 9th.
Private funeral arrangements for the baby are being scheduled.
