New Castle County police say they've linked a man who tried to hold up undercover officers posing as food delivery men to several recent robbery attempts. Officers investigating a string of robberies of delivery persons drove out to deliver a suspicious order Wednesday night and were waved down by a man.

Police say that man, 18-year-old Henry Johnson of New Castle, ran when he realized the men were police officers, but he was caught after a short chase.

Police say he had a large knife, a capped gun and other items that linked him to the robbery attempt. He was also linked to other recent robbery attempts.

Johnson is charged with robbery, attempted robbery, aggravated menacing and other charges.
