Mrs. Fixit: Cardboard

Do you have some cardboard that you're taking out to your recycling bin? Well, wait a minute. I have some great alternative uses for cardboard around your home.

If you're getting ready to move, cut the corners from sturdy cardboard boxes, secure them on the outside of your artwork to protect the corners of the frames during the move.

If your little one is learning to tie their shoes, their knees can get in the way. So, punch some holes in the bottom of a cardboard box and thread a shoe lace through like you're lacing up a shoe.

This practice box will make learning a lot easier and it's a fun activity for your kids.

Roll a piece of cardboard into a tube to keep boots upright in the closet. It will protect them from getting creases and keep the closet more orderly.

Fold a piece of sturdy cardboard to protect saw blades in your toolbox or storage. A binder clip will hold the cardboard in place.

Cardboard also makes transporting glass safer, flatten and fold a cardboard box. Secure it over the ends of the glass and you have a safe handle for transporting that glass.

Carboard recyling right in your own home. Try it. I'm Mrs. Fixit and its just that simple!
