Pickup truck hits police car, lands on roof

PORT RICHMOND - April 6, 2009

The pickup hit the front bumper of the police car just after midnight on Monday at the corner of Castor and Aramingo avenues in Port Richmond.

The truck flew about 300 yards down the street and landed on its roof.

When rescue workers arrived they found the 31-year-old driver trapped inside the pickup.

They pulled him out and took him to Temple University Hospital.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The police officer was not hurt.
