Wrong man jailed for weeks in Pa. holdup

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - April 6, 2009

Police say 32-year-old Jason Karlow was arrested Friday and accused of knifepoint robberies at Turkey Hill markets in Mountville Borough on Feb. 7 and Manor Township on March 18.

Images from surveillance tape prompted police to arrest 28-year-old Clark Lilley of Christiana after the first holdup. A store clerk also identified Lilley after being shown a photo lineup.

Police withdrew the charges March 19 and Lilley was freed after a five-week stay in the Lancaster County Prison. A Manor Township police detective says Lilley was in jail when the second robbery happened.
