Sketch released in reported rape

New Castle County Police are currently investigating a reported rape that occurred on Sunday March 29th near the Georgetown Village Apartments. On Thursday April 2nd police received a phone call from the victim's mother who reported her 18-year-old daughter was forcibly raped by an unknown male while she was walking near her apartment complex. The victim's mother says the attack happened at 11:30 p.m.

During the investigation the victim told police she was approached by a man who said his name was Ed. After some small talk, she says the man grabbed her and pulled her to the ground where he reportedly raped her.

The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 20-25, 6'1", 275 pounds, with short black hair, brown eyes, a "chin strapped" beard and a medium complexion. The suspect has a scar on the corner of his lip which is possibly on the right side of his face.
