Officials say a Horizon Air flight on its way from Los Angeles to Reno was forced to make an emergency landing in Sacramento after the pilot reported turbulence.

Airport spokeswoman Gina Swankie says six people were treated for minor injuries after the flight landed around 7 p.m. Tuesday. No one was taken to the hospital.

Horizon Air spokeswoman Jen Boyer says a flight attendant was among those injured. The flight carrying 40 passengers was canceled after one of the flight attendants decided not to continue working following the incident.

Another Horizon Air flight from Seattle to Reno was expected to stop in Sacramento and pick up the stranded passengers, who Boyer says should arrive in Reno by 11 p.m. Tuesday.
