Police say it all began around 2:15 A.M. in the Gold Coast Bar at 41st Street and Lancaster Avenue.
Investigators say the two men got into a scuffle in the bar.
They took their fight outside.
That's when police say one man aimed a gun at the other man and fired it repeatedly.
The shooting victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where there's no word yet on his condition.
Police took the other man into custody.
So far, officers have not filed charges.
They are interviewing witnesses to find out what led to the shooting.
