Suspect caught after bank robbery

PORT RICHMOND - April 9, 2009 - Police say man walked into the Port Richmond Savings Bank on the 2500 block of East Allegheny Avenue around 9:55 a.m.

That man handed a teller a demand note, the teller gave the man money, police say, and the suspect fled on foot.

Philadelphia police were able to catch up with him at the intersection of Aramingo and Lehigh and brought him into custody.

The identity of that suspect has not yet been released.
