Officers gave chase through Bensalem Township, onto I-95, then into Northeast Philadelphia.
Police put down stop strips to take out the tires of the fleeing car. It worked, however some civilian vehicles also hit the stop strips.
The carjacked vehicle exited off Academy Road, and finally came to rest along Ellie Drive just off Frankford Avenue.
There is no word if anyone was injured.
The driver of the fleeing car has not yet been identified.
