Man shot outside South Jersey church

100 people came to party. Some left describing how the party ended with a man shot.

The terrifying ordeal began inside Holy Trinity Church on West Landis Avenue in Vineland.

Police say a fight broke out during the party.

People began throwing tables and chair.

During the chaos, a man pulled out a gun and started shooting.

Party-goers scrambled outside the church.

Police found 21-year-old Shavezz Loatman bleeding outside the church.

Investigators say he had been shot three times in his arm area.

Loatman was rushed to a hospital to undergo surgery. He is expected to survive.

The gunman has not been captured.

Police have talked to several people who were inside the church at the time of the incident.

Investigators have not said what sparked the fight.
