The fire started at the intersection of Route 202 and Green Tree Drive in the city of Westtown.
The crash happened about 10 minutes before 7 a.m.
According to Chester County authorities two cars collided, resulting in one car becoming engulfed in flames.
At least one person was killed in the crash. Investigators have not yet released the details of how the accident happened.
Route 202 northbound was closed at Dillworthtown Road, but opened around noon.
