Police say a 7-year-old from Philadelphia is in critical condition after he nearly drowned in the family pool at Harrahs Resort in Atlantic City. Police say doctors at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center were able to revive the boy Tuesday and he was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden.

The family pool in the Harbour Tower is open to minors, but those younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Harrah's spokeswoman Alyce Parker says she believes no lifeguards on duty, but one of the boy's parents was present.

Police say the family was in Atlantic City on vacation. Their names and the name of the victim were not released.
