Feds: Drug ring focused on UD students

NEWARK, Del. (AP) - April 15, 2009 Authorities say most of the eight people arrested and charged in Delaware in the case unsealed on Tuesday have pleaded guilty, including 28-year-old Andrew Pollner, the group's kingpin.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Robert Kravetz says the multimillion-dollar Newark operation appeared to target University of Delaware students and two suspects charged in Maryland focused on University of Maryland students.

From the Newark house, Kravetz says the drugs were distributed to a dealer in the York, Pa., area, two men in College Park, Md., and to at least one dealer in Tampa, Fla., by boat.

Other arrests were made in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Florida.
