State fire investigators say they've charged a Dover teen with trying to set fire to an 8-year-old girl and then setting fire to a house in Camden. The 16-year-old boy was arrested on Wednesday, a week after the Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says the fire occurred at a home in the 300 block of North Old Mill Road.

Police say the teen held a lighter to the girl's clothing, trying to set her on fire. When she ran away, authorities say the teen threw burning items out of a window, lighting the outside of the house on fire.

The teen is charged with first-degree attempted arson, third-degree felony arson, nine counts of second-degree reckless endangering, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal trespassing.
