Suspect identified in carjackings

TRENTON, N.J. - April 16, 2009- The first incident happened on April 9th in the area of Jersey Street and Home Avenue in the city.

Police say Calier Samad, aka "States" forced a 26-year-old male victim to drive at gunpoint to a bank in Ewing Township, and forced the victim to withdraw several hundred dollars before being released.

The victim was not harmed.

Police say Samad is also one of two suspects in a similar April 10th carjacking on Beatty Street.

Detectives believe that the suspects, including Samad, were targeting individuals frequenting the neighborhood to buy drugs from street dealers.

Calier Samad is considered armed and dangerous.
