Firefighters in Camden battled a large fire overnight. It was their second major blaze in the past 24 hours.

Crews responded to a home on the 800 block of State St. just before 1:30 AM. The entire second floor of the house was engulfed in flames. A second alarm was called in after flames spread to neighboring homes on both sides.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital for a leg injury. The Camden County Red Cross is assisting 8 adults and 1 child who were displaced in the blaze.

Just yesterday, a four-alarm blaze tore through 8 stores in a strip mall at 317 Marlton Ave.
