Neighbors have told Action News that they heard a series of pops that sounded like gunshots, coming from a house on the unit block of Waters Edge Road in the Holly Lake Devellopment in Little Egg Harbor Township.
The popping sound peppered the night at about 1:00 A.M..
The Ocean County prosecutor's office would only confirm that a shooting took place in the house.
Police have cordoned off the house with crime tape.
There's no word yet on what led to the shooting or if a person was wounded during the gunfire.
