Police fire weapons in Olney

Two Philadelphia police officers discharged their weapons Wednesday night during an altercation with a suspect. It happened around 10:35 p.m. in the area of Howard and Chew.

Police say two officers on patrol spotted a man acting suspicious. As they approached the man, police say, the man pulled a tech 9. Two officers fired at him before he was able to pull the trigger.

Investigators say the man then fled, but tripped.

He was apprehended and the gun was recovered.

No one was shot or otherwise injured.
