Shooting leaves teenager critical

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - April 23, 2009 It happened around 6:25 p.m. along the 2000 block of south 9th Street near Snyder Avenue.

Police say the victim, described only as a 15-year old Asian male, was shot once in the left side of his head.

He was rushed to Thomas Jefferson Hospital where he is critical.

Police are looking into reports that two Asian males fled the scene on foot.

There is no word yet on a motive for the shooting.
