Security increased at fire-plagued school

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA - April 24, 2009 - Investigators say those phone calls, to both the fire marshal and the high school itself, indicated that students planned to bring gasoline to the school Friday and burn it down.

Philadelphia police, school police and the fire marshal's office were all out at the school, beefing up security to ensure that nothing went wrong.

The fire marshal's office brought their arson K9 unit as well, and nothing was found to indicate students were in any danger.

School went on as normal.

No one was injured during any of the previous fires.
