SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - April 27, 2009

Investigators say just before midnight on Sunday, the man walked into the Walgreen's on the 2300 block of Oregon Avenue dressed in dark clothes and carrying a dark gun.

He demanded that the pharmacist open the store's drug safe and hand over all the oxycontin in it.

After the pharmacist took the drugs out of the safe and gave them to the gunman the suspect ran out of the store.

He remains on the loose.

A total of 7 bottles (1,500 pills) of oxycontin were taken, equaling approximately $4,084.

The store was closed for a couple of hours while police investigated.
