The bomb squad in Fort Smith, Ark., examined an iron ball a gardener dug up from his yard.
Park officials at the Fort Smith National Historic Site thought it might be a Civil War-era cannonball.
But the Fort Smith Fire Department's bomb squad determined it's something not nearly as exciting.
After X-raying the object, Capt. Skip Mathews says that iron ball is probably just an old fence ornament.
