One dead in Hatfield crash

One person was killed in a crash Monday morning in Hatfield, Montgomery County. The name of the victim is not being released at this time.

The accident happened just before 8:00 this morning at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike and Lenhart Rd.

Upon arrival, police found a '97 Cadillac El Dorado that was traveling southbound on Bethlehem Pike that struck a '04 Hyundai.

Police say the Cadillac struck the Hyundai when it entered into the center turning lane.

The fatal victim is a 43 year old man from Hatfield. He was the driver of the Hyundai.

Robert Smith, 45, of Harleysville, was the driver of the Cadillac. He was transported by medic units to Abington Memorial for medical treatment.

Jennifer Riebow, 33, from Hatfield, was the passenger of the Hyundai. She was taken to University of Pennsylvania Hospital by Penn Star for her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
