3 more probable Pa swine flu cases

HARRISBURG, Pa. - April 30, 2009 - The Department of Health said Thursday that the three new cases are all adults and that further testing is necessary to determine the presence of swine flu.

A department spokeswoman says officials also should find out in the next day or two whether a more advanced test can confirm swine flu in a Philadelphia boy whose case was announced a day ago.

The 2-year-old boy's test results from a federal Centers For Disease Control and Prevention laboratory should be available in 24 to 48 hours.

The department says the three new cases involve a 46-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man from Philadelphia and a 31-year-old man from Montgomery County.
