PHILADELPHIA - April 30, 2009 - A federal judge says former KYW-TV anchor /*Alycia Lane*/'s civil
suit against fired co-anchor /*Larry Mendte*/ and station officials
will be moved to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. The suit
also names CBS Broadcasting and a Philadelphia newspaper columnist.
Lane claims invasion of privacy in the suit. Mendte was
sentenced to six months of house arrest in November after admitting
to reading Lane's e-mail hundreds of times and leaking personal
information to the press.
The station fired Lane in January after she was arrested in New
York following a scuffle with police. Those charges were later
dropped.
