Police say Aaron Cruz stabbed Altagracia Abikarram in the hip, once he arrived at a home on the block.
According to police, Cruz also bit Abikarram's 1-year-old son on the neck.
The child, who was most severely injured, was airlifted to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
His injuries were said to be very serious, but not life threatening.
Abikarram was taken to Reading Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which were not life threatening.
Police say Cruz shares the same last name as the baby, but have not confirmed that he's the child's father.
The elder Cruz faces aggravated assault and related charges.
