Body found along SEPTA tracks

CENTER CITY - May 6, 2009 - The body was found by a track worker on the westbound tracks shortly before noon in the vicinity of 11th and Market Streets.

No word on how or why this person is deceased.

SEPTA said it appears the man was hit by a train, however it is unknown if that is what killed him, or if he was dead before the strike.

SEPTA says the tracks were reopened again at 2:00 p.m. They had been operating shuttle buses in the area during the investigation.
