Two arrested in Wilmington homicide

WILMINGTON, Del. - May 7, 2009 - Mateo Pinkston, 19, of the 600 block of N. Broom Street and Joseph Tabron, of the 2900 block of West 3rd Street, are in custody.

Police were called out to the 1000 block of East 28th Street around 3:30 a.m. on May 2nd for a report of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found three men, all suffering from gunshot wounds.

All were taken to the hospital, where one man, Jarell Spivey, 22, was pronounced dead.

A second victim is listed in critical but stable condition. A third victim was treated and released for a superficial wound to his right hand.

Both Pinkston and Tabron have been charged with Murder 1st degree, attempted murder 1st degree, assault 1st degree, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited and conspiracy 1st degree.

They are currently being held at Howard Young Prison without bail.
