Sgt. Spencer was one of the many on the scene trying to wrangle a wayward bull who escaped from Phillipsburg High Agricultural Fair early Thursday morning.
The bull even swam across the Delaware River – twice.
"He's been out of his cage for about two days; he's been in Pennsylvania, he's been in New Jersey," Sgt. Spencer said.
When attempts to lasso the bull failed, state wildlife officials were called in tranquilize the animal in a field in Phillipsburg.
Finally, after a 45 minute wait, the dazed bull went down and officials were able to collar him.
He'll be returned to his anonymous owner after having a wild run.
Once again, he is no longer on the loose, so there is no need to "steer clear."
