Dog stranded on marsh rescued

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - May 9, 2009 Atlantic City Police, New Jersey State Marine Police, and the Humane Society of Atlantic County came to the rescue of Terry the dog on Saturday.

Terry, a 10-year-old female Rottweiler, was reported missing from a Pleasantivlle home on Saturday.

Reportedly, Terry was on her way to Brigantine, where she used to live.

The rescuers found Terry stranded on a marsh across from Harrah's Casino.

The dog is being cared for by the Humane Society of Atlantic County and is expected to be reunited with her owner on Monday.
