Hit and run victim remembered

HUNTING PARK - May 10, 2009 About 50 friends and family members gathered on the Roosevelt Boulevard in Hunting Park to pray and remember 18-year-old Calvin.

The driver of the hit and run vehicle is still on the loose and his family is speaking out.

"I just want to put another plea out there to the person who did this: Please come forward, come on out and turn yourself in," Calvin Weston, young Calvin's father, said.

Rell Wilkerson, Calvin's uncle, just wants to see some closure to this tragedy.

"As much as my family suffering, we're not trying to get you jail time, all we want is what happened," Rell said.

Police do believe they found the vehicle involved in the hit and run, a blue minivan found in the Mayfair section of the city.

Investigators have tracked the owner down, but no arrests have been made as of yet.

The investigation continues.

Calvin would have turned 19 today.
