PORT RICHMOND - May 12, 2009
It was just before 9:00 when officials say they believe a construction crew struck a 2-inch gas main in the 3400 block of Weikel Street.
The incident took place inside a warehouse undergoing construction. PGW was called out to shut off the gas.
The situation was declared under control around 9:10 and residents were allowed to return to their homes without any injuries.
