Amazon.com employees arrested

NEW CASTLE, Del. - May 13, 2009 On May 4, 2009 police were notified by Amazon.com investigators that they had discovered several employees stealing from the business.

A joint investigation began, and police arrested David G. Cardona, 27, of Chester, PA and Angel Reyes, 25, of the 600 block of Walden Court of Bear, Delaware after each man confessed to stealing over $68,000.00 worth of computer software and games and selling them on e-bay for about one year.

Police recovered some computer software packages from Reyes during the time of his interview.

Both Reyes and Cardona were charged with Felony Theft and Conspiracy II and released on unsecured bond pending a preliminary hearing.

Reyes was released on $2000.00 unsecured bond, and Cardona on $32500.00 unsecured bond.
