Hundreds cited so far in Del. seatbelt campaign

DOVER, Del. (AP) - May 20, 2009 The campaign to get people to wear seatbelts runs through Memorial Day.

Officials say 48 people were cited for not having children properly secured.

Police also made 204 arrests for speeding, seven for driving under the influence, 14 for drugs, two for underage drinking and captured 24 wanted people. Police also made two felony arrests and seized a deadly weapon.

The fine for not wearing a seat belt is $25 plus court fees.
