Police say a 75-year-old man was backing up to deliver stones to a flower bed area when he accelerated and hit the house.
There were people inside the home, but no one was hurt.
The crash left a 7' by 7' hole in the home.
Police say the house sustained more than $20,000 in damage and has been deemed uninhabitable.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and was not charged.
Structural experts from the Claymont Fire Company responded to the scene and assisted with reinforcing the interior and exterior walls.
